Hold a valid driver's license and have regular access to a motor vehicle or have access to other reliable means of transportation to and from the Music Hall.Move and position items up to 20 pounds.Ability to traverse the Music Hall grounds and internal public spaces (lobbies, restaurant, etc.) multiple times in a single shift.Comfort working in a stationary and single position for several hours at a time.Available to attend a paid two-hour orientation on July 24, 2021.Available to work weekends, evenings and some holidays.Available to work at least three shifts per month.Escalating special requests to House Manager or Event Manager needed.Performing pre-show set-up and post-show closing duties.Assisting guests with special needs including wheelchair or mobility assistance.Enforcing auditorium/decorum rules and policies.
Reminding patrons of security policies/procedures and contacting safety and security personnel to enforce procedures when required.Providing directions to private suites, restrooms, restaurant, and common areas (line management and directions).Distributing programs and materials to guests.
Maintaining order and adherence to safety rules.Guiding patrons to seats and exits safely.Greeting patrons in a friendly manner and offering assistance as needed.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Familiarity with Fair Park and its surrounding neighborhoods is strongly preferred. The Front of House team ensures extraordinary customer service for every Music Hall patron and also monitor compliance with health and safety matters/protocols. Ushers scan tickets, distribute programs, offer direction, escort patrons to specific seating areas, and provide direction and assistance to patrons requiring special assistance. A team of dozens of ushers for each event join with over a hundred other front-of-house employees and other personnel to ensure that patrons have a world-class experience through the entirety of their visit. Ushers serve as the first point of contact for nearly all patrons attending ticketed events at the Music Hall. LOCATION: The Music Hall at Fair Park, Dallas, TX Shifts during performance weeks are typically Tuesday-Friday evenings 5:30pm-10:00pm and weekends 11:30am-10:00pm (two shifts).
